Quitman church, club hosting blood drive

The next blood drive sponsored by the Quitman Rotary Club will take place Tuesday, Aug. 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Quitman First United Methodist Church, 406 Lane St.

Carter BloodCare will be set up inside the church to accept donations.

Participants will receive a free beach towel.

Appointments may be made at carterbloodcare.org.

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
