The Quitman City Council approved a Quitman Development Corporation request for $25,000 to go toward Phase One in the efforts of UT Health Quitman to locate a memory care center for the treatment of Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Quitman council OK’s project funds
The Quitman City Council approved a Quitman Development Corporation request for $25,000 to go toward Phase One in the efforts of UT Health Quitman to locate a memory care center for the treatment of Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Also Thursday, the council ordered the city council election May 7. Incumbents are Steve Glenn, Jack Robinson and Susan Resnik.
The council approved an inter-local agreement with Wood County to provide a full-time airport manager at the Wood County Airport.
