Quitman Elementary student wins stamp design contest
A Quitman Elementary School fifth grade student won first place for her U.S. postal stamp design in competition sponsored by the Robert Dibble Chapter of the National Daughters of the American Colonists (NSDAC).
Atlana Watkins was presented the award by the local chapter’s historian, Shelly Chance, a QISD educator. Watkins will be a sixth grader at Quitman Middle School this fall. She lives with her grandmother, Janela Gibson, in Quitman.
