Quitman hurlers combine for no-hitter

Bulldog pitchers Landon Richey and Aiden Corrior combined to toss a no-hit 6-0 win over North Hopkins last Thursday during the Quitman Tournament.
Richey tossed the first two innings, striking out five Panther batters and giving up a single bases on balls. Corrior came in to pitch the final four innings and struck out seven batters.

Bulldog pitchers Landon Richey and Aiden Corrior combined to toss a no-hit 6-0 win over North Hopkins last Thursday during the Quitman Tournament.
Richey tossed the first two innings, striking out five Panther batters and giving up a single bases on balls. Corrior came in to pitch the final four innings and struck out seven batters.
The Bulldog offense got rolling with eight hits including two hits each by Jack Tannebaum and Hayden Cook. Cook and Mason Reynolds each had doubles. Reynolds had two RBI while Cook had one and Jack Tannebaum one. Quitman led 1-0 after two innings, 3-0 after four innings and 6-0 after five innings. Reynolds also had two RBI in the game.
Quitman controlled the base paths with aggressive running, stealing eight bases. Cody Hawley and Ty Holland each had a pair of steals.
Friday’s tournament schedule was rained out. Quitman was set to play Linden-Kildare Saturday but wet grounds moved the game to Linden. Quitman did win that game, but details were unavailable at press time.
