National Library Week is April 6-12, and our theme is “Drawn to the Library” celebrating that people enjoy the library for different reasons: pleasure reading, research, study, information, entertainment, connection and growth. Millions of people across the country visit their libraries every week. What’s the draw? There’s a world of information here.

Friends of the Quitman Public Library meet on 2nd Thursdays at noon. The next one-hour meeting will be April 10, with the library staff providing special spring treats. Among the topics of discussion will be the FOL Spring Book Sale planned April 29-May 2. The public is invited to join this active group of volunteers dedicated to the growth and improvement of the library.
