Stop by the library’s huge Scholastic Book Sale Friday, June 20 at 11 a.m. The Scholastic company has outdone themselves to make sure this is one of their best summer sales ever. Stop by and see what’s new.
Summer Reading 2025 “Adventure Begins with Summer Reading” is happening from 2-3 p.m. on June 19 when Ramblin’ Rita will share some “Texas Tall Tales,” and on June 26 from 2-3 p.m., it’s “Movie Time @ QPL with the Triple H Therapy Dogs.”
The Wood County TX Genealogical Society invites family researchers to meet on the 3rd Monday at 5:30 p.m. in the library Shamburger Community Room. The next meeting is June 23.
The public is invited to join the Wood County Metal Detecting Club that meets on 1st Mondays at 6:30 p.m. at the community room.
Board Games for Teens group meet every other Wednesday from 1-4 p.m. in the community room. Bring board games and snacks to share. This group is organized by Homeschoolers – Wood County, Texas and is designed for teens 13-19. Call 903-763-4191 to confirm game days.
Knitting and crochet instruction class meets each Thursday, 2-4 p.m. at the library. Students of all ages and skill levels are invited to join this growing group. Classes are free.
