Quitman rolls past Slocum
The Quitman Lady Bulldogs scored 19 runs in the first two innings to coast to 19-0 win over Slocum last Thursday. They scored 10 in the first inning and nine in the second.
Freshman Addison Marcee had four hits, a triple, a double and a pair of singles to lead the offensive charge for Quitman. Slocum managed two hits.
Ashley Davis, Lindsey Hornaday, Alexis O’Neal, Maddy Pence and Marcee had RBIs in the 10-run first inning. Pence, Marcee, O’Neal and Carley Spears had multiple hits for Quitman.
The Lady Bulldogs had great success running the bases. Four players had two stolen bases each, and Spears led the way with three.
The Lady Bulldogs will be participating in the Wills Point tournament Thursday through Saturday.
