Quitman school threat leads to arrest
Last Thursday Quitman ISD Superintendent Chris Mason posted a letter to parents and guardians concerning a possible threat at Quitman High School.
Mason stated, “Our staff took immediate action and law enforcement has taken the individual who made the threat into custody.”
The letter said, “We take all threats seriously and appreciate the continued support of our parents, community and local law enforcement.”
Mason said there were no weapons on school property at any time and encouraged parents to call their local campus if anyone has questions. The number is 903-763-5000.
