Rescheduled Kiwanis chili cookoff Saturday

After a two-week weather delay,  the 13th annual Mineola Kiwanis Chili Cook Off is rescheduled Saturday, Feb. 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mineola Civic Center.

This will be the second year featuring the First Responders Challenge. Firefighters, police and emergency personnel from around the area will be cooking the chili.  

Sliced desserts and drinks will be available for $1. The public will decide the “People’s Choice” award with their tips for best tasting chili. Celebrity judges will decide on “Best Tasting Chili” and “Best Looking Booth.”

In addition, a silent auction with lots of great items and a live dessert auction will be held. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $5 or from members of the Kiwanis Club.
