RosaLee Lomax Adams  1941-2022

RosaLee Lomax Adams, 81, of Quitman passed away Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022.

She was born on May 30, 1941 to parents Laddie and Edith (Birchfield) Lomax in Marfa. 

RosaLee married her soul mate, Thomas Jed Adams on Nov. 7, 1959 and were married 47 and a half years until his passing. RosaLee loved to travel with Jed and together they traveled the US, Canada, Mexico, Italy, Greece, Sicily, Aruba and Switzerland. In 1969 they moved to Coke and in 1973 RosaLee and Jed started their family business J&T Bit Enterprises Inc., which is still in operation today. They moved to Quitman in 1973 and have been there ever since. 

RosaLee was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jed Adams; and parents, Laddie and Edith (Birchfield) Lomax.

She is survived by her son, Tommy Adams and his wife Tracie; sister, Bonnie Jones; nephews, Richard Holloway and wife Michelle and Robert Holloway and wife Emily; and many other friends and family members who will miss her dearly. 

A memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4 at Lowe-Gardner Funerals & Cremations with Brother Mike Midkiff officiating. 

At the family’s request, anyone who wishes to honor her legacy may make memorial donations to the Quitman Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 1855, Quitman, Texas 75783, in place of traditional floral tributes.
