Royal homecoming hopefuls
Quitman and Mineola will both celebrate homecoming next Friday.
Each high school has nominated five seniors for homecoming queen and five for king. Underclassmen fill out their respective courts.
For Quitman, seniors Carson Dickens, Brady Floyd, Ethan Presley, Brandon Hayesm and Gustavo Olvera are nominated to be king, while Sarah Smith, Savana Smith, Kameran Farnham, Jennifer Castillo and Sierra Williams are queen noms.
The king and queen will be crowned next Friday before the football game against Edgewood.
Completing the royal group as duchesses and dukes, respectively, are juniors Kylee Harris and Carlos Flores, sophomores Isis Murlin and Colden Wilson, and freshmen Kori Hammond and Preston Flores.
Mineola nominees for queen are Kloey Garcia, Aliyan Gonzales, Mylee Fischer, Carrie Littlefield and Allison Hooton. Senior boys Kaden Bell, T.J. Moreland, Preston Radla, Isaiah Gardner and Cameron Bussell and nominated to be crowned homecoming king.
The pair chosen to reign as homecoming royalty will be announced next Friday before the football game against Bonham.
The lower court for Mineola are freshmen duke Ainsley Steward, duchess Katie Rojas; sophomore duke Javaryan Brumsey, duchess Audria Bynum; junior duke Paul Stanley, duchess Deztaney Warren.
