School district's lumber cut
Work is underway to clear timber from land owned by the Mineola school district off NE Loop 564. The school board approved a contract that will pay the district more than $300,000 for the pine trees which dominate the property. A buffer is planned around the outside of the land. The project is expected to take 3-4 weeks.
