Forty-nine third graders at Mineola Elementary School were honored for “bringing up grades” in an honors ceremony Wednesday as the Kiwanis Club of Mineola provided Dairy Queen gift cards as an annual project for the club. Kiwanis President John Epps led the club members Pam Thurman and Joyce and Sam Curry in passing out the awards.
