Traffic stop leads to two methamphetamine seizures
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office made a pair of drug arrests on Saturday, Jan. 14 in the Yantis area.
A traffic stop near Yantis resulted in 1.6 pounds of methamphetamine seized.
George William Reschke, 55, of Kaufman was arrested for manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, penalty group one, more than 400 grams. His bond was set at $150,000.
That evening deputies and members of the Criminal Investigations Division with the assistance of the Texas Highway Patrol executed a search warrant on County Road 1858 which resulted in a seizure of over 3.5 ounces of methamphetamine.
Paula Christine Box of Yantis was arrested for manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance penalty group one between four and 200 grams. Bond was set at $100,000 bond, and she was released Jan. 15.
Falon Leann Honea, Yantis, was also arrested for the same charge, and bond was set at $100,000.
“A traffic stop led to a search warrant with a bust that brought in even more methamphetamine to take off of the streets of Wood County,” Sheriff Kelly Cole said. “We have been working hard trying to do that for the public.”
