Troy Lee Gilmore, 1956-2021

Celebration of life services for Troy Lee Gilmore, 64, OF Quitman were held on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 2 p.m. at Reilly Springs Jamboree in Sulphur Springs.

Mr. Gilmore passed away on Feb. 1, 2021 in Tyler.

He was born July 18, 1956 in Carlsbad, N.M. to the late Troy Gilmore and Leola Loney Gremillion Gilmore. He served in the US Navy for eight years and worked as production operator in the oil field. He had lived in Quitman for four years, moving from Carlsbad. Troy was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-love, Deborah Sue Moore.

Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Gilmore of Quitman; two sons, Shae Caudill and wife Ariane and Colin Gilmore; four siblings, Doss Gremillion, Dickie Jay Means, Colleen Elderfield and John Gilmore; three grandchildren, Donny Lee Caudill, Alyssa Jane Caudill and Gracelynn Rose Gilmore; father-in-love, Donny Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
