Voter registration deadline April 1

The deadline to register to vote in the May 1 city council and school board elections is Thursday, April 1.

Persons who have not registered to vote, or who have moved since the November general election, should contact the office of the Wood County voter registrar at 903-763-2400.

Early voting gets under way on April 19, also at the elections office in the county seat of Quitman, one block south of the courthouse.
