WC Co-op holding annual meeting

The 2022 Wood County Electric Cooperative Annual Meeting will take place on Friday, Oct. 7 at Governor Jim Hogg City Park in Quitman. 

Prior to the meeting, the public is invited to attend a free concert featuring Meredith Crawford and the Mean Streak at 12:30. 

The business meeting for members will begin at 2 p.m. followed by door prize drawings for members, with the grand prize a $500 gift card. Members should have received mail ballots for the election for directors for WCEC Districts 5 and 6. The deadline is Oct. 6. Results of the election will be announced at the meeting. 

Trey Teaff, GM and CEO of WCEC, said, “Every year we look forward to getting together with our members. Because of the pandemic, we’ve had to table that for the last two years. So, we are especially looking forward to a return to normalcy and we can’t wait to greet our members and old friends. I hope to see many members there.”
