Mineola Main Street Window Decorating Contest Winners were presented framed certificates signifying their awards Friday.

Judging took place Dec. 6, after being postponed from the original date due to rain.

Judges noted that it was difficult to choose a winner.

First place went to Between Friends at 114 East Broad with their heavy depiction of the theme “150 Years of Christmas in Mineola.”

Their window showed the history of not only their building, but others in in downtown and included the railroad.

Second place went to Mineola Flower Shop owner Sydney Armendariz.

Judges were particularly impressed with the amount of work that went into the decorations as well as enjoyed the concept of the windows at 114 W. Broad.

Third place went to Cheryl’s Lake Country Florist at the corner of Broad and Johnson Streets.
