October 6

Deputy Jonah Croney was notified of a possible burglary on CR 4778. The victim stated someone broke a window out of the house. She asked that the case to be investigated, so it will be forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Division.

Deputy Linda Williams received a theft call on FM 312. The party advised there was damage to property and numerous items stolen. He wishes to press charges on the case. It will go to CID for investigation.

Sgt. Austin Milbourn and Deputy Matthew Cooper were finishing a traffic stop on Hwy. 69. They observed a vehicle pulling a trailer with malfunctioning trailer lights. Cooper made contact with the driver. Due to circumstances on scene, the driver was asked if there were drugs in the vehicle. He admitted there were. Jeremy Dewayne Boyd, 38, of Pickton was arrested for possession of a controlled substance Penalty Group (PG) 1 more than one gram but less than four grams.

October 7

Deputy Jonah Croney arrived at FM 17 for a disturbance. The victim stated she and her wife were in an altercation. Dawn Marie Phipps, 49, of Alba was arrested for assault causes bodily injury to date/family/household member.

Deputy Cooper was dispatched to Waterfront Row for a violation of a protective order. The reporting party stated she had just gotten home when she observed her ex-husband drive by in his vehicle. He then pulled into a neighbor’s driveway and started yelling at her. The case was forwarded to CID.

Deputy Jim Rapp went to FM 1801 for an inquest. EMS was on scene. The funeral home was contacted and arrived.

Deputy Williams took a request to speak regarding a scam/theft. The victim stated he attempted to purchase a golf cart off EBay. He believes he was scammed and wishes to press charges. The case was forwarded to CID.

October 8

Deputy Cooper was sent to FM 2869 for an intoxicated driver. Sgt. Milbourn and Capt. Mike Chilson arrived. They spoke with the individual. Deputies detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. She also had bloodshot eyes and was unsteady on her feet. Joanna Lee Riendeau, 37, of Kilgore, was arrested for public intoxication.

Sgt. Jeremy Smith went to the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office for a criminal trespass complaint. The party provided game camera photographs showing an ATV being driven on his property. He was able to identify the individuals. There is another identified subject driving his vehicle through the property. The party wanted to pursue charges against the three subjects.

Deputy Andrew Rapp and Sgt. Jeremy Smith were dispatched to CR 2265 for a disturbance in progress. Rapp made contact with the suspect while Smith spoke with the victim. Justin Lee Morgan, 27, of Mineola was arrested for assault causes bodily injury-family violence.

Deputy Rapp responded to a dog bite on CR 2842. He met with the victim, who stated a dog came onto her property, eating cat food off her porch. The dog then attacked her dog. She attempted to break up the dogs, and was bitten on the leg. An owner was found and was able to provide vaccination records. It will be quarantined for 10 days.

October 9

Deputy Croney was notified of a disturbance in progress on PR 7865. The party stated his estranged wife came to the location and confronted him. They got into a physical altercation. The suspect then admitted to starting the altercation. Deanna Mae Bitner, 52, of Hawkins was arrested for assault causes bodily injury-family violence.

Deputy Andrew Morrison assisted EMS on PR 5551. EMS told him that the party stated her grandmother assaulted her. The grandmother arrived and spoke with Morrison. The victim requested to be taken to the hospital and was transported by EMS. A report was filed for future reference.

Deputy Morrison took a report of a runaway on Seminole. The party stated his 17-year-old daughter had left the residence overnight. Contact was made with the female, who stated she was all right but was not going to be coming home. After speaking with her further, they were able to determine where she was. The party then left to pick her up.

Sgt. Milbourn and Deputy Croney responded to an attempted suicide call on CR 2466. The subject was transported to the hospital.

October 10

Deputy Rapp went to CR 2482 for a disturbance in progress. The party, a juvenile, stated her step-father assaulted her. When speaking with witnesses on scene, Rapp learned the juvenile pulled a knife on the step-father. The incident is being further investigated.

Sgt. Milbourn and Deputy Croney responded to CR 1418 regarding a juvenile runaway. The juvenile’s mother stated her daughter had run away. Deputies were able to make contact with the juvenile, who met them at the Sheriff’s Office. After discussing the situation with all parties involved, the juvenile agreed to return home.

October 11

Sgt. Heather Bailey and Deputy Williams were dispatched to FM 2088 for a physical disturbance. Two males at the location had gotten into a fight. A juvenile male subject was taken into custody and processed with Juvenile Probation Department.

October 12

Deputy Jim Rapp took a phone report regarding credit card fraud. The party stated her sister-in-law and brother had gotten her mother’s debit card information and used it without consent. A report was filed and a request was made for more information.

Deputy Linda Williams received a request to speak for a suspicious circumstance on CR 4200. The party stated his cameras caught a vehicle on his property that did not belong to him. He said something was left on his vehicle. The report was filed for future reference.

Deputy Rapp was dispatched to CR 2540 for an inquest. The justice of the peace and funeral home were contacted and responded to the scene.
