October 27

Deputy Andrew Morrison met with an individual who claimed she believed her daughter had been sexually assaulted. The case will be forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Division (CID).

Sgt. Jeremy Smith took a report of a child out-crying to being inappropriately touched. This case will be forwarded to CID.

Sgt. Smith and Deputy Bonnie Sepulvado took a report of vehicle burglaries on CR 2320. The suspects entered numerous vehicles on CR 2320 and PR 6325. CID was called to assist. This is being investigated.

October 28

Deputy Andrew Rapp responded to CR 2140 for a criminal trespass. The party stated juveniles driving four wheelers were riding on her property. A neighbor also advised the juveniles were on their property as well. Both parties wished to have the juveniles criminally trespassed from their properties.

Deputy Morrison was dispatched to PR 7631 for criminal mischief. The party stated their vehicle had been vandalized. The vehicle had key marks as well as profanity scratched into the side. Video surveillance was available for the incident. A suspect was named. The case will be forwarded to CID.

Deputy Rapp took a theft report on CR 1660. The victim stated her cell phone was stolen. A suspect has been identified and the case will be forwarded to CID.

Deputy Morrison was notified of a request to speak regarding identity theft. The party stated his father recently had his identity stolen. Morrison was able to assist.

Deputy John Cooper was called to CR 4420 for a theft. The party stated the alarm company let him know the alarm was triggered. They noticed a side door being open and two windows being opened. They found things moved around but did not know if anything was missing. They will be reviewing security cameras to get more information.

Sgt. Smith took a request to speak regarding a terroristic threat. The party stated the father of her children came to her residence. He was asked to leave, and he then threatened her. Before he left, he fired a single round into the air with a hand gun. The case will be forwarded to CID.

Deputy Rapp took a phone call for a fraud. An unknown individual has been contacting the party telling them they owe money. The party wants the incident documented for future reference.

October 30

Deputy Matthew Cooper was dispatched to a one-vehicle accident on Hwy. 80. He was able to speak to a witness on scene who stated they were outside their residence when they observed a vehicle driving down the road. There was a loud pop and the vehicle began to flip. The driver of the vehicle was out of the vehicle, walking around. The driver stated they had taken a friend home, who had too much to drink.  She was on her way home when she believes she had a blow out. Cooper observed her to have a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. She admitted to having consumed alcohol. She was taken to the hospital to have blood drawn. Since she would be at the hospital for an extended period of time, the case was forwarded to CID for review.

Deputy Cooper and Sgt. Jaclyn Skinner were sent to S. FM 14 for an accidental shooting. The victim stated he was on the porch, getting ready to clean his firearm. He thought it was unloaded, but it went off and discharged a round into his hand. The individual was transported to the hospital by ambulance and the firearm was released to another party on scene, per the victim’s request.

October 31

Deputy Jim Rapp went to FM 49 for an assault after the fact. He spoke with individuals on scene who stated their juvenile daughter was mad and had locked herself in the bathroom. The father stated she came out of the bathroom and went into her bedroom stating she would hit them if they entered her bedroom. After several minutes, the mother entered the bedroom and was hit by the daughter. The mother went into the living room and told the daughter she would not do that again. At that time, the juvenile hit her mother a second time. The juvenile is on probation for assault – family violence. Her probation officer was contacted. Due to no beds being available at a juvenile detention facility, she was sent to stay with her grandparents. Juvenile Probation advised they would follow up the next day.

Deputy Cooper was informed of a burglary in progress at a business in Hawkins. He was able to determine three individuals forced entry into the location and stole an unknown amount of products. While searching the area, three subjects were located hiding in a secure area of another business. One of those individuals was found to be in possession of some of the stolen objects. After reviewing the video, Cooper was able to determine the three juvenile subjects he located hiding were the same subjects that broke into the other business.

Deputy Linda Williams took a request to speak with an individual who wished to report a family member being manipulated and taken advantage of. Williams documented the information and will file an incident report for future reference if needed.

November 1

Deputy Morrison took a call of a disturbance on FM 49. The party stated he and his girlfriend had been in a verbal altercation. Morrison noticed he had been drinking. The man stated his girlfriend inflicted injuries on herself during the verbal altercation. When Morrison made contact with the female, her injuries were not consistent with the series of events told to him by the man. She stated they were in an argument and he slammed the door on her, causing her injuries. Because the injuries on the victim were consistent with her story, and the man trying to claim other ways she received her injuries, Robert Keith Houston, 54, of Mineola was arrested for assault causes bodily injury – family violence with previous convictions.

November 2

Deputy Amanda Dollison took a lobby call of harassment. She met with the party who advised they were being harassed by the father of their children. This case will be forwarded to CID.
