Deputy Linda Williams had a request to speak on CR 4770. The individual received messages on Facebook attempting to scam them of money. The report will be submitted for future reference.

Deputy Corbin Hanner did a standby for CPS on CR 4560.

Deputy Brad Cox was dispatched to CR 3940 for an inquest. The funeral home and justice of the peace were contacted to respond.

Deputy Jim Rapp went to the intersection of FM 852 and CR 4250 regarding a traffic hazard. When he arrived, cleanup crews had already removed the dumped cow manure from the roadway. TxDOT had responded to the scene and was working on cleaning up the mess.

November 18

Deputy Matthew Cooper and Sgt. Jaclyn Skinner responded to a disturbance on CR 3193. The party stated the suspect, his step-son, got irritated when asked about medication. The suspect pushed the party to the ground and began assaulting him. Alex Lee Brock, 27, of Winnsboro was arrested for assault by contact – family violence.

Deputy Cooper was on routine patrol on E. Goode St. when he observed a vehicle with no front license plate. A traffic stop was conducted. Cooper detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana from the vehicle. The driver stated there was heroin and marijuana in the vehicle. Jay Scott Traylor, 44, of Quitman was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group (PG) 1 >=1g<4g.

Deputies Cooper, Jeff Baldwin and Sgt. Jaclyn Skinner responded to CR 4365 on a shots fired call. Two individuals had gotten into a physical altercation. At some point, one of the individuals was shot in the leg. Firearms from both subjects were collected and the case was submitted to the Criminal Investigations Division (CID).

November 19

Deputy Andrew Morrison went to FM 515 for an inquest. The funeral home and justice of the peace were notified.

Deputy Morrison responded to a call on CR 1858 regarding an assault. The party stated his mother had been choked. When Morrison arrived, he spoke with the victim, who stated the assault had happened several days before. She said the suspect had done some repairs to her house. While he was inside the residence, he shoved her on the bed and choked her. The victim did wish to pursue charges.

Deputy Andrew Rapp took a theft report on CR 2140. The party stated the license plates and registration sticker were stolen from a vehicle. He does not know where the plates and registration were stolen from. The case will be reviewed by CID.

Deputy Morrison had a lobby call regarding terroristic threat. The party stated that her son was being threatened by her father. The case will be forwarded to CID.

Deputy Morrison spoke with a juvenile in front of the sheriff’s office regarding possible self-harm. The case will be reviewed by CID.

Deputy Rapp had an individual report a theft on CR 2840. The victim stated she had someone comeat time, a large amount of cash was taken from the victim. The victim does wish to pursue charges.

November 20

Deputy Jonah Croney was notified of a disturbance in progress on CR 3909. The suspect had destroyed property and barricaded himself in a bedroom. Deputies attempted to get the subject to come out of the room, while being able to observe him. With the risk of the subject getting injured and officer safety, it was decided to leave the individual in the room. The case will be filed for future review.

Deputy Rapp took a report of theft of mail on CR 2140. The victim stated he received a confirmation email stating a package was delivered to his address. He said he never received the package. The case will be forwarded for investigation.

Deputy Rapp had a call of cruelty to non-livestock animals on CR 2279. The party stated their neighbor is poisoning their dogs. The case will be forwarded to CID.

Deputy Morrison went to FM 515 in regard to a disturbance. The individuals struck each other several times. The female subject also struck a vehicle on the property. Neither party wished to press charges against the other. The female was issued a criminal trespass order.

November 21

Deputies Morrison and Rapp were dispatched to Indian Gap for a disturbance in progress. Both parties had separated. The female stated she was trying to flatten her tires in order to keep her son from using the vehicle. As she was walking out of the residence, her son tackled her to the ground, causing her injuries. Mitchelle Remon Williamson, 28, of Quitman was arrested for assault causes bodily injury – family violence.

Deputy Morrison responded to PR 8692 for a possible harassment. The party stated a neighbor causes a disturbance every time they drive by their house. Morrison spoke with the neighbor regarding the action and advised criminal actions could be pursued if the actions continued.

Deputy Croney went to Geronimo for a fraud report. The individual stated she found equipment used for making counterfeit items in her adult daughter’s bedroom. The report was filed for future reference.

Deputy Corbin Hanner arrived on FM 2966 for a call for service. Dispatch advised there was an individual on scene experiencing a mental health crisis. The individual was placed in custody on an Emergency Detention Warrant and taken to the hospital for treatment.

November 22

Deputy Cole Hudson took a call for a verbal disturbance on CR 3909.  The reporting party stated his brother-in-law was on his property causing a disturbance. He also advised there was an emergency protective order in place against his brother-in-law. Jason Bruce Alexander, 48, of Hawkins, was arrested for violation of bond/protective order.

Deputy Hanner was contacted by a jailer at the Wood County Sheriff’s Office regarding contraband found in the jail lobby. Hanner took possession of the contraband and logged it into evidence.

Deputy Hanner spoke with an individual on Hwy. 37 regarding a criminal trespass. The homeowner stated there was someone looking in the windows of the residence after being asked to leave the property. Hanner issued a criminal trespass warning to the individual.

Sgt. Austin Milbourn responded to FM 2869 in regard to an attempted suicide. CID responded to the scene. The subject was transported to the hospital.

Deputy Jim Rapp took a report of assault on CR 2922. The party stated his son had assaulted him. There were conflicting stories regarding the incident, and no visible signs of assault. The case was filed for future reference.

November 23

Deputy Rapp was dispatched to PR 6882 for an assault after the fact. The reporting party stated his wife assaulted him. A report will be filed for future reference.

Deputy Linda Williams received a request to speak regarding a scam. The party stated she was receiving phone calls stating she had a warrant. The case is filed for future reference.
