December 15

Deputy Matthew Cooper was working routine traffic on Loop 564 when he observed a vehicle with a taillight out. He initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the occupants of the vehicle. While speaking with the occupants, he was able to locate a firearm and marijuana. The firearm was reported stolen from another county. In looking into the background of the person who had the firearm, it was found he was a felon. Keandre Dewayne Dews, 23, of Mineola was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm by felon and theft of a firearm.

December 16

Deputy Brad Cox met with an individual in the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office. The person advised someone dumped trash on his property. In the process of cleaning it up, a firearm was found. The firearm was taken and entered into property.

Deputy Jim Rapp went to E. Bent Bow Lane for a criminal trespass. The party stated she was working in her yard when her neighbor began harassing her. Rapp attempted to contact the suspect, but they would not answer the door.

December 17

Deputy Jonah Croney took a report of a theft. The party stated his truck was stolen out of another county. The vehicle was recovered, but the custom wheels were still missing. A suspect was named, and the case will be forwarded to CID.

Deputy Andrew Rapp and Sgt. Austin Milbourn responded to CR 2280 for a disturbance. While speaking with the involved parties, they stated it was mutual combat and did not want to press charges against each other. One of the individuals agreed to leave for the evening.

December 18

Deputy Brad Cox was dispatched to CR 4536 for an assault and theft report. The reporting party stated her juvenile son went to a party and got intoxicated. While he was at the party, his wallet was stolen and he was assaulted. The case will be forwarded to investigators.

Sgt. Austin Milbourn was notified of a welfare concern on CR 3250. The reporting party stated a man was at the location and should not be due to a protective order. Stephen Michael Mancuso, 41, of Quitman was arrested for repeated violation of certain court orders or conditions of bond in family violence, resisting arrest, search or transport and a motion to revoke for assault causes bodily injury family violence.

Deputy Andrew Rapp was transferred a call regarding a missing vehicle. The party stated his vehicle was taken from his residence. He did not wish to pursue charges but wanted the incident documented for future reference.

Deputy Andrew Rapp took a theft report on FM 2659. The party stated his dirt bike was stolen from his residence. It was entered into the national system and the report was forwarded to CID.

Deputy Andrew Rapp had an illegal dumping reported on CR 1124. He observed household furniture and trash at the location. He was able to get an address to the potential suspect and attempted to make contact but was unable to do so. The case was forwarded to CID.
