July 20

Deputy Morrison, 911 hang up, Hwy. 37; parties advised someone having medical emergency, EMS contacted. 

Deputy Hughes, theft, FM 852; caller let someone ride her motorcycle to take to possible buyer, found out friend took motorcycle and title and claimed he wrecked it, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Croney, theft, Hwy. 154; victim’s ex-wife took debit card and some checks during night, able to provide copies of checks, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Gould, disturbance, County Road 1590; subject’s girlfriend knocked food out of his hand, he attempted to leave residence, female advised she was pushed onto bed before male left. There were no signs of the male pushing the female down. 

Cpl. Cooper, stolen vehicle, Yantis; Rains County officer contacted Cooper about possible stolen vehicle. Arrest warrants issued for two people in possession of vehicle. 

July 21

Deputy Croney, criminal trespass, County Road 1416; caller advised son stealing items from house, would like him criminally trespassed; son issued trespass warning, returned one of the stolen items.

Deputy Pollard, animal complaint, County Road 2935; neighbor’s dogs not being fed or watered and are skinny. Pollard observed animals to be skinny but owner provided food and water, animals will be checked on further.

Deputy Rapp, dispute, County Road 2336; female advised she was assaulted by husband when she took his phone from him, male advised he did not hit her but accidentally scratched her face, case forwarded to investigations.

Cpl. Cooper, suspicious person, Stephens St., Quitman; observed male walking on wrong side of road, yelling, jumping around, tried to get motorist to give him ride, threw papers onto ground, walked on wrong side of road again, after being instructed not to. Christopher Hasten, 19, Mineola arrested for use of side walk (walking on the wrong side of the roadway).

July 22

Deputy Kovic, criminal trespass, FM 49; caller wished to have person criminally trespassed from property. Deputy located individual to issue trespass. 

Deputy Kovic, animal complaint, County Road 2935; dogs checked multiple days, observed several times did not have food or fresh water. 

Deputy Mayer, dispute, County Road 3840; male damaged house with machinery; call deemed civil, female given contact information to crisis center due to feeling emotionally abused. 

Deputy Atkinson, criminal mischief, South Main, Yantis; someone damaged coin machine. Photos taken of damage, case forwarded to investigations.

July 23

Deputy Williams, criminal trespass, FM 2966; caller wanted neighbor trespassed from residence due to him chasing her son; neighbor contacted, criminally trespassed.

Deputy Hughes, disturbance, County Road 4830; victim riding around with friend, observed unknown vehicle in driveway, began to argue, victim provided video of friend hitting him while outside. Sarah Moses, 35, Quitman arrested for assault family violence. 

Deputy Cox, criminal mischief, Holley St., Alba; someone spray painted church van, signs in area and mailbox; caller wished to pursue charges, case forwarded to Alba PD.

July 24

Deputy Williams, theft; caller advised employee took work vehicle, never showed up to pick up items, suspect’s brother called victim, stated van was at his house, van has yet to be returned.

Deputy Kovic, criminal mischief, County Road 2206; ex-employee damaged items on property, caller advised to get estimates of damage, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Maye, credit card abuse; someone making purchases on credit card, caller was informed to cancel card as soon as possible. 

July 25

Deputy Croney, warrant service at adult probation. Karen Charlton, 56, Quitman arrested for outstanding warrant.

Deputy Whisenhunt, criminal mischief, FM 2869; neighbor driving ATVs across their driveway, causing damage, neighbor contacted, advised to not drive on driveway.

July 26

Deputy Rapp, theft, County Road 2935; caller’s father stole small items from property, did not wish to pursue charges, but have incident documented.

Deputy Whisenhunt, reckless driver, Holly Lake Ranch; vehicle attempted to swerve, try to hit her and kids while walking on road, witness able to identify driver, caller wishes to pursue charges.

Deputy Croney waved down by pedestrian at Lake Fork Marina; advised someone had possibly stolen license plate off boat trailer, advised to contact DMV out of state, get plate reported.

Deputy Whisenhunt, burglary, County Road 3440; victim’s grandson lived on property, broke into house, stole money while he was gone. Forced entry observed on back door, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Whisenhunt, scam; victim tried to make return on eBay, eBay representative told him to download app. After app installed, victim’s phone hacked, also bank account.
