October 19

Sgt. Cox, criminal mischief; caller advised ex-girlfriend ran into vehicle at residence, wished to pursue charges, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Kovic, theft; caller stated boyfriend performed work on vehicle, given bad check, requested a few more days before filing charges. 

October 20

Deputy Rapp, burglary, County Road 2174; caller watching house for friend, noticed someone broke out window, believed no one entered residence due to small hole. 

Deputy Kovic, theft, Holly Lake Ranch; caller used wallet last at store, during night left it in vehicle, believes someone took it, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Kovic, missing firearm; caller had firearm when he left church, discovered it missing, does not believe firearm stolen, case forwarded to investigations.

October 21

Cpl. Cooper, welfare check, Holly Lake Ranch; grandmother advised she had contacted police where grandchild lives due to finding bruises, advised they would be contacting CPS.

Deputy Morrison, theft, County Road 2169; caller advised hired someone to do work at residence, believes he stole item from storage building, wished to pursue charges, does not have serial number.

Deputy Morrison, burglary, County Road 2302; caller believes someone trying to break into neighbor’s house, damage located to door, homeowner contacted to check for missing items.

Cpl. Cooper, warrant service, FM 14. Jason Reeves, 50, Hawkins arrested for outstanding warrant.

October 22

Cpl. Cooper, suicidal subject, County Road 2700; caller and husband got into argument that turned physical, he stated he was going to drive in front of a train, observed scratch on victim’s face. Matthew Smikle, 26, Mineola arrested for assault bodily injury. 

Deputy Morrison, theft; caller advised he and others bought items off Facebook, once money was sent, suspect created fake shipping labels, blocked buyers. No further information provided. 

Deputy Morrison, disturbance, FM 69; victim stated she and boyfriend got into argument that turned physical, suspect not located, victim did not wish to pursue charges.

October 23

Deputy Croney, disturbance, County Road 1946; victim’s husband turned off her cellphone and electricity and left residence, also stated had become physical in the past, parties did not wish to pursue charges.

Deputy Rapp, criminal mischief, County Road 3689; caller’s ex-girlfriend came to residence while away, spray painted it, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Morrison and Deputy Whisenhunt, disturbance, Private Road 5860; victim and boyfriend got into argument, suspect pushed her, took phone to prevent 911 call. River Milam, 27, Yantis arrested for assault, interfering with emergency call.

October 24 

Deputy Gould, criminal trespass, County Road 4586; victim’s neighbor came onto property from which he was criminally trespassed, began arguing, caller has video cameras, will forward to deputy.

Deputy Rapp, criminal mischief, Holiday Villages; male hit mailbox with vehicle, left scene, suspect located, stated he would pay for replacement. After a week, suspect had not paid for new mailbox, contacted again, paid for mailbox, caller did not wish to pursue charges.

October 25

Deputy Whisenhunt, burglary, County Road 1681; homeowner advised had been gone, returned home, someone had forcibly entered residence, took items, homeowner provided list of items missing, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Rapp , theft, Hwy. 80; caller stated neighbor’s friend entered residence, took items out of camper, case forwarded to investigations.
