Sgt. Cox, theft; victim observed front door open, discovered firearm missing, provided information to be entered as stolen, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Burdick, disturbance, FM 14; victim and father got into argument, father attempted to choke him, suspect not taken into custody due to medical issue, offense report will be filed.

Three animal calls.

December 1

Deputy Gould, assault, FM 515; suspect got into argument with granddaughter, remembers kicking her, victim contacted later due to leaving scene, advised she was slapped in face, case forwarded to investigations.

Sgt. Skinner, warrant service, County Road 3900. Joshua Wilt, 41, Holly Lake Ranch arrested for outstanding warrant.

December 2

Deputy Morrison, theft; caller believes home health nurse stole money from residence, case forwarded to investigations.

Sgt. Milbourn, welfare concern, County Road 2164; person violating protection order. Entry made into residence, suspect not wanting to come outside. Ian Mcgaughey, 37, Quitman arrested for violation of protection order.

Deputy Morrison, criminal mischief, FM 779; damage to building discovered, case forwarded to investigations.

December 3

Sgt. Milbourn and Deputy Morrison, disturbance, Hwy. 80; victim advised she and husband got into argument, he held her down to not let her leave, had injury but stated it was not from the argument, protection order filed.

Deputy Croney, disturbance, Hwy. 37; suspect observed attempting to ram victims’ vehicles, victim advised girlfriend had been acting strange lately, went outside, rammed his vehicles with hers. Miranda Collins, 36, Winnsboro arrested for assault with deadly weapon.

December 4

Deputy Morrison, accident, Hwy. 80; driver advised he hit animal causing damage to vehicle, was driving with invalid license, in possession of firearm but had bond conditions preventing it. Kobe Sheffield, 23, Longview arrested for violation of bond orders.

Sgt. William, assault, Quitman ER; victim advised during verbal altercation, suspect pulled out knife, cut his hand; incident happened out of county, appropriate agency notified.

December 5 

Cpl. Cooper, theft; victim hired two people to do work, borrowed his trailer, did not return it, provided trailer information, entered as stolen.

Deputy Pollard, disturbance, Holiday Village; victim’s ex came to get items, when she told him she didn’t know where they were, he head butted her, case forwarded to investigations.

December 6

Deputy Rapp, theft, County Road 1316; property owner advised son noticed someone under vehicle attempting to steal parts. When suspect saw property owner, he ran into woods, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Kovic, criminal mischief, Private Road 6882; property owner advised someone threw brick at window, broke glass, security footage showed suspect and vehicle. Deputy determined possible suspect due to law enforcement encountering same vehicle that day, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Rapp, criminal mischief; victim contacted by bank, stated he needed to put money on temporary card. After money withdrawn, bank called stating there was fraudulent activity, victim filled out identity theft packet.

Sgt. Cox and Deputy Kovic, burglary, FM 779; observed someone had been inside Golden Methodist Church, poured liquid on floor, property owner observed items missing. Investigators located possible suspect, who admitted stealing items, plus breaking into another building (Let’s Roll Skating Rink), causing damage to third building (Golden Post Office) a few days earlier. Ethan Kratzmeyer, 17, of Mineola arrested for burglary of building.
