December 21

Deputy Atkinson, theft; victims paid business to do work, work has never been done, company has come up with excuses multiple times why they cannot work, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Rapp, theft, County Road 1612; victim advised her father let her dog go outside, pickup stopped, picked up the dog, victim provided suspect’s vehicle details, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Whisenhunt, theft; caller stated she owns restaurant, noticed money, items missing, manager admitted taking money, owner would like to press charges.

Four animal calls.

December 22

Deputy Rapp, disturbance, County Road 1570; victim came to residence to pick up belongings, sister showed up, tried to hit her with car. Once suspect got out of vehicle, she tried to hit victim who was holding baby, victim did not wish to pursue charges, CPS contacted.

Deputy Pollard, assault, County Road 2715; male stated neighbor came up to him, got in his face, then her husband attacked him. Deputy spoke with husband who stated male hit his wife, then walked to male, hit him, case forwarded to investigations.

Two animal calls, two agency assists.

December 23

Deputy Rapp, unauthorized use of vehicle, County Road 2445; victim stated during night, girlfriend’s son had taken his vehicle, not brought it back, victim did not wish to pursue charges or enter vehicle as stolen.

Deputy Hughes, terroristic threat; caller advised ex-boyfriend threatening her if she didn’t bring his stuff back. Rains County advised suspect’s car still at residence, caller’s residence checked as well.

Two agency assists.

December 24

Deputy Rapp, criminal trespass, Holiday Village; caller stated neighbor coming onto property, looking through fence, also attempted to steal dog. Neighbor contacted, advised she did look through fence, did not attempt to take dog, neighbor criminally trespassed.

December 25

Deputy Kovic, suspicious circumstance, Hwy. 37; caller stated she believes someone tampered with grave. Deputy took photos showing there had possibly been activity, cemetery manager contacted. 

Deputy Kovic, suspicious circumstance, FM 1799; gate to storage unit business left open, not usually left open. Deputy patrolled area, did not observe anything tampered with.

One agency assist.

December 26

Sgt. Cox and Deputy Kovic, suspicious circumstance, Hwy. 154; caller stated they observed white van underwater, took pictures of the van. Upon recovery, found to be stolen out of Mississippi.

Deputy Rapp, criminal mischief, County Road 2245; victim stated husband struck her vehicle with baseball bat, victim did not wish to pursue charges, wanted husband to leave.

One animal call.

December 27

Deputy Croney, suspicious circumstances, Private Road 5934; victim stated male walked up to residence, asked for food, stole car keys, neighbors blocked off the road not allowing suspect to leave, suspect allowed to look inside wallet, deputies observed baggie containing crystal substance, found glass pipe in suspect’s pocket and victims keys. Simon Flores, 30, arrested for possession of controlled substance, burglary of vehicle.

Deputy Morrison, disturbance, Hwy. 37; caller stated he and girlfriend were taking a break, as he was leaving, she came out, took keys from vehicle. Female advised male took money from her and why she was upset. It was deemed money was possibly from both subjects, no one wished to pursue charges.
