Deputy Whisenhunt, scam; caller advised he received call to authorize Amazon purchase he didn’t make. Amazon advised he did not have pending charge and call was a scam.

February 1

Deputy Whisenhunt, scam; caller advised he received call to authorize Amazon purchase he didn’t make. Amazon advised he did not have pending charge and call was a scam.

Deputy Croney, vehicle accident, FM 312; driver taken by EMS, vehicle removed.

Deputy Whisenhunt, animal complaint, County Road 4833; horse observed with hay and water, contacted owner who advised water trough had heater, would provide more hay shortly.

One transport, two animal calls.

February 2

Deputy Pollard, missing person, Hwy. 154; located missing person, returned to residence.

Deputy Croney, warrant service, FM 49; property owner advised wanted subject left area due to warrant, not located.

Deputy Whisenhunt, criminal mischief, FM 14; tenant cut lock off of electrical panel, deputy took photos of damage, case forwarded to investigations.

Sgt. Morrison assisted CID on warrant service, County Road 1431. Alan Phipps, 41, Quitman arrested for outstanding warrant.

Deputy Croney, theft; victim advised firearm missing from truck, provided firearm information, entered as stolen.

Deputy Way, terroristic threat, County Road 2967; caller arguing with sister, made threat over phone to deputy. Deputy responded to address, caller again made threats. Travis Gilbert, 50, Mineola arrested for terroristic threat.

February 3

Deputy Arrellano, warrant service, FM 779. Marvin Smith, 64, Alba arrested for outstanding warrant.

Deputy Whisenhunt, public nuisance, County Road 3420; property owner had large amounts of vehicles, tires, other items all over property, advised had 30 days to improve property.

Deputy Rapp, suspicious circumstance, Hwy. 37; someone stealing items out of storage building, later discovered individuals hired to clean out storage unit.

Deputy Gould, theft, County Road 2168; property owner received call saying electric company couldn’t get  meter reading; owner checked property, discovered someone stole meter box, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Rapp, theft, FM 14; property owner stated multiple pallets taken from business, pallets stolen from other businesses in Hawkins, case forwarded to investigations.

February 4

Deputy Hughes, traffic stop, FM 17; observed vehicle registration sticker did not match license plate, sticker returned to stolen vehicle, sticker confiscated.

Deputy Rapp, theft, County Road 3876; victim received email that package was delivered, when he got home package was gone, did not have suspect, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Gould, caller stated a girl she is in lawsuit with kept harassing her through text, caller advised to block suspect, report if she attempts contact again.

One agency assist.

February 5

Cpl. Mayer, criminal mischief, FM 1647; someone had written on mailbox and signs in yard, victim stated people have caused damaged to residence previously, did not wish to pursue charges, did provide suspect.

Deputy Gould, disturbance, FM 17; victim and husband got into argument, he grabbed her on arm and leg multiple times, causing pain, victim left area to protect her and kids, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Hughes, assault after the fact, Yantis; victim’s daughter stated victim got into argument with female, it turned physical, victim transported by EMS, advised to contact a deputy once she returned.

Deputy Kovic, intoxicated pedestrian, Hwy, 154; trooper arrived prior to deputy, arrested individual for public intoxication.

Deputy Kovic, violation of protection order; caller on phone, received video chat request from someone with protection order, provided screen shot, case forwarded to investigations.

Cpl. Mayer, pick up wanted person from another agency. Robert Butler, 38, Grand Saline arrested for outstanding warrant.

February 6

Deputy Croney, assault after the fact, County Road 2117; victim, fiancée got into argument, she assaulted her, victim had multiple bruises, suspects’ story different than the victim’s, case forwarded to investigations.

Cpl. Cooper, burglary, Hwy. 154; someone had broken into storage unit, items missing, provided list of missing items, case forwarded to investigations.

Cpl. Cooper, warrant service, Mineola. Kimberly Foster, 38, Mineola arrested for outstanding warrant.

Deputy Arellano, burglary, FM 14; property owner saw two individuals go inside vacant RV, deputies unable to locate. 

Sgt. Williams, disturbance, County Road 2121; female threatening victim’s wife, provided video, Faith Snyder, 31, Quitman arrested for assault by threat.

Deputy Croney, RV park, previous call; owner advised two subjects who entered RV illegally back on property. Deputies located individuals, as suspect learned he had warrants, fled on foot into woods, deputies unable to locate.

February 7

Deputy Morrison, suspicious person, County Road 2504; male located outside, deemed to be caller’s husband, caller’s family advised she suffered from dementia, mistook husband for stranger. 

Sgt. Morrison and Cpl. Cooper, burglary, County Road 1988; located individual who appeared to be under the influence, suspect advised he broke into residence, property owner did not wish to pursue charges. Matthew Calder, 33, Yantis arrested for public intoxication.

Deputy Pollard, possible theft, FM 1254; property owner’s daughter heard noise, went to open shed, had new lock, owner advised to call back when shed opened if anything missing.

Deputy Croney, Quitman ER, bullet wound; subject advised while cleaning firearm, accidentally discharged, clipped finger.

Cpl. Rapp, disturbance, County Road 1522; repo person stated property owner threatening them, not allowing them to retrieve vehicle. Neither party wished to pursue charges, vehicle removed.

One transport.
