February 8

Deputy Kovic, disturbance, County Road 1977; victim brought friend to residence who became upset, locked himself inside, deputies located drug paraphernalia in males’ pockets. Glenn Smith, 44, Yantis, arrested for drug paraphernalia.

Lt. Milbourn, Sgt. Cox, and Deputy Gould, warrant service, Hwy. 37. Zachary Eubanks, 21, Quitman arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Deputy Gould, suspicious vehicle, FM 2088; red vehicle on property shooting guns, owner flashed light at them, they drove off. Deputies unable to locate vehicle, property put on extra patrol.

Deputy Hughes, traffic stop, Loop 564; vehicle in turn lane, driver’s head leaned over, put vehicle in park, began driving, failed to stop at red light, advised she had drank previously, had blood shot eyes. Tamara Brown, 60, Glasgow, Ky. arrested for driving while intoxicated second offense.

Deputy Arellano, animal complaint, County Road 2121; female offered to take puppies from caller’s residence, has seen posts that someone dumped the dogs, suspect being identified, case forwarded to investigations.

February 9

Deputy Rapp, missing person; caller hasn’t spoken to friend in over a year, will not answer phone. Deputy attempted to call, no answer, not at listed address, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Kovic, theft, Hwy. 154; home health nurse asked for $100, victim gave debit card, nurse used card multiple times for more money than asked for, case forwarded to investigations. 

Deputy Gould, suspicious person, Hwy. 154 bridge; male sitting on edge of bridge, advised he was going to jump, would not be able to swim back. Deputy able to get male to go with EMS.

Deputy Gould, theft; caller in agreement to sell two scooters to friends, yet to pay, have yet to answer deputies.

Sgt. Skinner, public assist, County Road 3455; female advised child locked inside residence, unable to get out. Deputy assisted in retrieving child.

Deputy Arellano and Deputy Hughes, warrant service, County Road 2546. Joe McClenny, 43, Quitman arrested for outstanding warrant.

February 10

Lt. Milbourn, warrant service, adult probation. Justin Rodriguez, 33, Sachse arrested for outstanding warrant.

Deputy Croney, burglary, County Road 2168; property owner had been gone for week, observed multiple items missing from residence, provided list of missing items, case forwarded to investigations.

Lt. Milbourn and Sgt. Morrison, wanted person, Lake Hawkins, located attempting to jump into lake. Matthew Farr, 28, Hawkins arrested for outstanding warrants.

Cpl. Cooper, vehicle parked in road, FM 778 near County Road 3840, Hawkins, dispatch advised of active felony warrant out of Gregg County for driver, Martha Johnson, 51, of Mesquite, paraphernalia located in search, Johnson arrested, transported to jail for warrant for possession of controlled substance penalty group one from 1-4 grams.

Two transports.

February 11

Cpl. Cooper, vehicle on fire, Hwy. 37; driver advised truck started smoking, removed from roadway and towed.

Deputy Croney, assault after the fact, County Road 3147; male stated wife attacked him in an argument previously, wife advised husband got mad, choked her, she attacked in self-defense, husband admitted to choking wife, case forwarded to investigations.

Sgt. Milbourn and Deputy Croney, runaway, Holly Lake Ranch; mother advised daughter missing from room, had not seen her in a few hours, a ping showed runaway’s phone in Dallas, locate message sent out, person entered as runaway. 

Cpl. Cooper, shots fired, County Road 2172; party advised son observed someone shoot gun toward roadway as he attempted to get his dog. Contact made with suspect who advised he shot .22-cal. pistol at tree in front yard to scare dog away from residence, pistol came back clear, offense report will be completed. 

Cpl. Cooper, traffic stop, observed driver in vehicle with active warrant. Cody McGill, 25, Quitman arrested for outstanding warrant.

Deputy Pollard, criminal trespass, County Road 2150; observed subject walking with active warrant. Roy Cagle, 41, Quitman arrested for outstanding warrant. 

Cpl. Cooper, verbal dispute, separated parties, County Road 1860, Yantis; victim advised while collecting belongings after argument, girlfriend pointed BB gun at him to get him to hurry, later advised actually a shotgun, pointed at him while suspect threatened him, also advised he had been pushed several times. Contact made with suspect, who admitted pointing 4-10 shotgun at victim with intent to intimidate to get him to move faster. Tammie Martin, 61, Yantis arrested for aggravated assault with deadly weapon. 

Deputy Pollard, Way and Burdick, warrant service. Thadius McKenzie, 40, Mineola arrested for outstanding warrant.

February 12

Sgt. Milbourn and Deputy Croney, suspicious circumstance, FM 1801; someone in vehicle taking pills, acting erratically, suspect left area, deputies later located, observed signs of being under the influence. James Colonna, 28, New York arrested for driving under the influence.

Sgt. Morrison and Cpl. Cooper, warrant service, County Road 2172. James Geer, 54, Quitman arrested for outstanding warrant.

Deputies responded to FM 1795, Hawkins, for verbal dispute with active threats. Victim advised son had gotten irate, told her he was going to kill her. Son stated that out of anger, he threatened his mother, had no intent to follow through. Mother advised she was unsure if son would make any attempt to harm her, did not wish to pursue charges. Justin Raymond, 21, Hawkins arrested for assault by threat - family violence. 

Sgt. Morrison and Cpl. Cooper, agency assist, Mineola; neighbor heard someone yelling ‘put the knife down.’ Mineola PD officer observed male running into residence, locking door. Forced entry made, both individuals inside detained, suspect identified, arrested by Mineola PD.

Cpl. Cooper, traffic stop, Hwy. 154 and County Road 3990, Winnsboro. Search located 22.09 grams of methamphetamine in zip up case beside driver seat in 10 individual baggies. Driver Robert Stout, 34, Hawkins arrested for manufacture/delivery of controlled substance penalty group one more than four and less than 200 grams, vehicle released to passenger.

Sgt. Morrison and Deputy Croney, warrant service, County Road 2351. Gregory Roberts, 49, Mineola arrested for outstanding warrant.

February 13

Deputy Kovic, burglary, County Road 1750; someone had broken into residence, stole multiple items, did not have serial numbers, case forwarded to investigations.

Cpl. Baldwin, request to speak, believed male under the influence. EMS contacted, male went with EMS to get assistance.

Sgt. Skinner, Deputy Mayer and Deputy Hughes, out-of-control crowd, Jarvis College, able to remove crowd from gym. Due to lack of control by Jarvis security guards, deputies left scene. 

February 14

Deputy Rapp, theft, County Road 2351; victim signed contract with subject who agreed to bring lumber, victim paid most of money, has yet to receive material, victim contacted suspect who stated he would return money. Deputy waiting to hear from victim about money.

Deputy Kovic, harassment; victim filed harassment charges, ex-husband still contacting her, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Rapp, fraud, Hawkins; two fraudulent checks written to people not students at the school, did not have suspects, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Hughes, harassment, County Road 2210; victim’s ex-boyfriend made threat by phone, victim feared ex would show up at residence or work, case forwarded to investigations.
