Cpl. Skinner, Deputy Smith, disturbance, CR 2771; boyfriend threatened caller over text because he was not allowed to see his kids, suspect advised he was not going to harm victim, was en route to see other family. 

Sgt. Cox, Deputy Smith, assault, CR 1700; caller’s boyfriend had been assaulted, suspect left scene, parties given transport to stay separated.

Deputy Haley, suspicious person, FM 182; male laying in ditch near road, deemed to be under the influence. Keith Gorman arrested for public intoxication.

December 26

Cpl. Skinner, credit card abuse; someone used caller’s card in Dallas for purchase he did not approve, advised to contact Dallas due to offense occurring there, informed how to report identity theft.

Cpl. Skinner, Deputy Smith, physical disturbance, CR 2298; victim punched by her son, deputies spoke with both parties who advised nothing physical occurred.

Deputy Williams, assault, CR 1676; female had assaulted victim, left scene, case forwarded to investigations.

December 27

Lt. Milbourn, Cpl. Croney, disturbance, CR 1540; caller’s son threw items at her husband, left on foot, deputies did not locate suspect, offense report completed.

Deputy Whisenhunt, theft; caller recently let go from  job, insufficient funds to cash check, given multiple excuses from former boss, offense report completed.

Sgt. Williams, assault, Holiday Village; victim assaulted by juvenile, Juvenile Probation contacted, informed of situation.

Lt. Kovic, Sgt. Williams,  Cpl. Rich, unwanted subject, CR 2120; deputies located subject in vehicle, found to have active warrant. Jessenia Garcia arrested for active warrant.

December 28

Cpl. Croney, Deputy Whisenhunt, disturbance, Hawkins; caller following subject with whom he had verbal disturbance, subject drove over his foot., both parties contacted, report forwarded to Hawkins PD.

Deputy Whisenhunt, abandoned animals, FM 14; tenants moved out, left four puppies, dogs removed from residence, offense report completed.

Deputy Pollard, abandoned vehicle, Hwy. 182; back windows busted out, towed to prevent further damage.

December 29

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Pollard, disturbance, CR 1917; male attempted to strike victim with wrench, deputies spoke to both parties who advised subject held wrench, did not attempt to strike anyone, parties separated.

Deputy Whisenhunt, Deputy Beck, death investigation; caller contacted by family to check on family member at his residence, located subject deceased, autopsy ordered.

Deputy Whisenhunt, dog bite; dog bit caller’s wife, he wished to surrender it, caller made aware Sheriff’s Office unable to take dog, informed of options.

December 30

Deputy Smith, theft; caller advised four-wheeler stolen from property, neighbor has more information about suspect, caller unsure if he wished to press charges, would call back.

Deputy George, illegal burning, CR 2647; subject burning illegal trash; deputies observed the fire to be out, unable to contact anyone at residence. 

Deputy Williams, stolen vehicle; victim advised son and daughter stole vehicle, entered as stolen, juveniles entered as runaways.

December 31

Deputy Smith, theft, Hwy. 37; multiple pieces of equipment stolen, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Smith, agency assist; Quitman PD in vehicle pursuit, deputy deployed tire spikes, vehicle stopped, both subjects taken into custody.

Cpl. Skinner, animal welfare concern, CR 2382; deputy observed dog tethered that had medical condition, dog owner advised dog would be given treatment, follow up will be completed.

Deputy Smith, burglary, CR 1978; someone broke into residence, stole items, possible suspects provided, case forwarded to investigations.
