February 26

Sgt. Morrison, follow up; caller had pictures of suspect, suspect vehicle from incident where subject fled from being towed, caused damage, deputies attempted contact with possible suspect, unable to locate him, victim called back, stated suspect paid fees, returned missing items.

Sgt. Cox, theft, Hwy. 154; manager of RV park advised victim his RV was missing from park, provided video footage of suspect, vehicle, case forwarded to investigations. 

Lt. Milbourn, theft, CR 2210; caller advised neighbor found envelope containing money inside mailbox and money is missing, caller advised to make report with Postal Service.

February 27

Deputy Pollard, theft; caller left vehicle near work site, when he returned home from trip, vehicle was missing, entered as stolen.

Deputies observed wanted subject traveling in vehicle, Hwy. 37. Mineola PD conducted traffic stop. Timothy Nall arrested for active warrant.

Deputy Whisenhunt, found firearm, Lake Hawkins; caller located firearm on the ground, deputies received call from firearm owner who provided identifying information for firearm.

February 28

Sgt. Cox, vehicle in water, Caney Point; driver advised as he was getting out of vehicle, he tripped, vehicle rolled into water.

Sgt. Burdick, disturbance, CR 2174; no one would come to door, neighbor advised disturbance did occur, but parties separated, would not give names of subjects.

Sgt. Cox, subject shooting dogs; caller stated neighbor shooting dogs in the area, offense report completed, case forwarded to investigations.

March 1

Sgt. Cox, gunshot victim, Quitman ER; victim stated he was cleaning firearm when it went off.

Deputy Smith, Deputy Haney observed two small children playing near roadway, FM 49; contact made with parents at residence. Theresa and Mark Jacobs arrested for child endangerment, CPS notified.

Deputy Smith, Deputy Haney, welfare concern; caller stated two small children living at residence with no running water, female on property stated she and her son live there, but no children.

March 2

Deputy Haney, Deputy Smith, someone attempting to take RV, Hawkins; deputies located male who did not have permission to take RV, RV owner did not wish to pursue charges.

Deputy Haley, structure fire; deputy located sole occupant of residence inside, subject was removed, transported by EMS to receive treatment for burns.

Sgt. Burdick, assault, CR 2921; victim stated male came to residence, assaulted him and girlfriend, offense report completed.

March 3 

Deputies, agency assist, Quitman. Quitman PD advised there was physical disturbance at restaurant, suspect fled scene, deputies located suspect in vehicle, taken into custody by Quitman PD.

Sgt. Williams, Cpl. Rich, Deputy Hammond, warrant service, Hwy. 37; dispatch received 911 text stating subject with warrant was back at residence. George Foster arrested on active warrants.

Cpl. Rich, Deputy Hammond, shots fired, FM 2869; caller advised his shotgun fell over, went off, striking his hand, transported by EMS for treatment.

March 4

Deputy Pollard, animal bite, CR 1917; victim delivering order at residence when dog bit her; dog owner informed of  quarantine process.

Deputy Pollard, dog bite, CR 4430; victim trying to break up her dogs from a fight, when she was bitten, provided vaccine records.

Deputies, multiple trees, power lines down; assisted in clearing trees from roadway, providing traffic control until roadways were opened.
