April 23

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Hammond, warrant service, Adult Probation. Douglas McBride arrested on active warrants.

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Hammond, abandoned dog, Hwy. 154; deputies observed dog dumped off with bag of food, dog transported to Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Gloar, found property, Holly Lake Ranch; caller located abandoned firearm, returned as clear.

April 24

Deputy Gloar, agency assist, Hwy. 80. Lamar County had death notification for person in county. Deputy located next of kin.

Deputy Haney, possible trespass; caller advised someone opened gates to several properties in area, caller advised to put up security cameras.

Deputy Haney, theft; multiple pieces of jewelry missing from residence, offense report completed.

Deputy Whisenhunt, counterfeit cash, FM 1804; property owner stated renters left behind several counterfeit bills in residence, deputy retrieved bills.

April 25

Deputy Williams, theft, FM 778; someone stole golf cart from barn, offense report completed.

Deputy Haley, vehicle fire, FM 515; caller was in residence when vehicle horn started going off, when he looked outside, vehicle was on fire. 

Deputy Haley, assault, CR 1987; caller was fishing when owner of property assaulted him, deputies contacted caller who was highly intoxicated, made inconsistent statements, owner stated caller ran at him, he defended himself, deputies will contact witness, report will be made.

Sgt. Burdick, Deputy Williams, gunshot wound victim, Quitman ER; victim advised he and some friends were passing firearm around in vehicle, he pulled trigger, not knowing it was loaded, deputies discovered incident occurred in Van Zandt County.

April 26

Sgt. Cox, Deputy Tustin, burglary, FM 14; caller had 10 guns stolen from residence while he was at work, housekeeper advised she located one firearm, placed it on the bed, deputies observed multiple guns laying on bed, after speaking with both parties, determined only one firearm missing.

Deputies responded to underage drinking on beach of Lake Holbrook contacted multiple subjects who were drinking, advised a fight had broken out. One subject involved in the fight, Brandon Amaya, found to have active warrant, taken into custody.

Deputies, welfare check, CR 1977; caller advised daughter was suicidal, made self-harm threats, before leaving residence walking, deputies contacted subject by phone who advised she was at nearby hotel. Emory PD contacted for welfare check on subject.

April 27

Sgt. Cox, Deputy Haley, suicidal subject, CR 2546; caller advised friend had machete, making self-harm threats, subject stated she did make threat, but would not go into detail, subject transported by EMS to receive treatment.

Deputies, assault, Lake Holbrook; juvenile female assaulted another juvenile female before leaving scene, victim checked by EMS, offense report completed.

Sgt. Burdick, stolen vehicle and stolen trailer, CR 2385; someone removed gate, stole truck and trailer from residence, caller was advised her vehicle and trailer were towed due to being used in commission of a crime. 

April 28

Deputy Haney, terroristic threat, FM 17; victim and boyfriend got into argument, he told her to leave, as victim was attempting to leave, boyfriend tapped on her car window with axe. Offense report completed.

Deputy George, warrant service, Adult Probation. Mistie Middleton arrested for active warrant.

Deputies, assault, CR 1540; caller stated son and father were throwing rocks at each other during argument, parties separated, deputies discovered caller was making false claims.

April 29

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Hammond, disturbance, CR 1686; caller found out girlfriend was cheating on him, they got into argument, girlfriend sprayed caller with pepper spray. Offense report completed.

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Hammond, warrant service, CR 2174. Jason Vavra arrested on active warrant.

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Hammond, theft, Holiday Village; victim allowed someone to work on mower, when she went to retrieve it, person said he did not have it, contact made with suspect who believes one of victim’s friends picked up mower. Offense report completed.

Sgt. Williams, Cpl. Rich, warrant service, CR 1686. Amanda Sullivan arrested on active warrant.

Deputies, disturbance, CR 3849; caller wants ex-girlfriend criminally trespassed from property. Deputies responded to address later in the night when she returned to residence, during argument she poured gas into residence, set it on fire, left prior to deputies’ arrival.
