Yantis, Alba won’t need city council elections
Yantis and Alba won’t need to hold elections in May. Each had the same number of candidates as open positions for the May 1 city council elections.
Don Heinert will be the new Alba mayor while Debbie Shaddox and Tammy Kelbe will be the two new council members.
For the Yantis City Council incumbent mayor Trey Norris is unopposed and for the council, incumbent Julie Mattox and newcomer Reed Gamille will fill the two seats.
Seeking three seats on the Yantis School Board are incumbent Tyra Kennemer and newcomers Ashley Vivian, Carrie Hurley and Stacy Batchelor.
