402nd District Court accepts guilty pleas

The following guilty pleas were heard in 402nd District Court on Thursday, Jan. 4:

William Weiler Hirsch, Dallas, possession of a controlled substance (PCS) penalty group one (PG1) less than one gram, state jail felony, deferred adjudication, four years community supervision with 120 hours community service.

Paul Allen Essl, Quitman, driving while intoxicated third or more, third degree felony, seven years in state prison probated to seven years community supervision, 160 hours community service, $9,000 fine and $390 court costs.

Tristan Ray Chacon, Canyon Lake, assault causes bodily injury family violence, third degree felony, deferred adjudication, five years community supervision with 160 hours community service, $390 court costs.

Jennifer Marie Hood, Abilene, assault causes bodily injury family violence, Class A misdemeanor, deferred adjudication, one year community supervision with 80 hours community service, $500 fine and $390 court costs.

Renee Cheryl Rogers, Mineola, driving while intoxicated third or more, third degree felony, eight years in state prison probated to eight years community supervision, 160 hours community service, $8,000 fine and $390 court costs.

Lee David Lavell, Quitman, aggravated assault with deadly weapon, second degree felony, six years in state prison with 225 days credit for time served; failure to comply with sex offender duty to register for life/annually, third degree felony, eight years in state prison with 220 days credit for time served; prohibited substance in a correctional facility, third degree felony, four years in state prison with 220 days credit for time served, sentences run concurrently.

Joe Bart Cole, Quitman,  PCS PG1 four grams or more but less than  200, second degree felony, 15 years in state prison with 347 days credit for time served, $2,000 fine and $290 court costs.
