Funeral services for Robert "Bob" Weakly, 86, Winnsboro, are scheduled for Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Interment will be held at Clearwater Cemetery in Franklin County.

Mr. Weakley passed away April 4, 2014 in Winnsboro.

He was born in Atoka, Oklahoma on February 23, 1928 to the late Oscar and Bonnie Hall Weakley. He was a retired plumber and a member of the Clearwater Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Olive "Olie" Weakley on April 25, 2013; brother, Henry Weakley; sisters, Deanie Dollarhide, Goldie Norman, and Bessie Robinson. Survivors include son, Kenneth Weakley and Karen of Winnsboro; daughters, Eva King of Chaparral, NM., Neva Mc- Cullough and John of Phoenix, AZ.; brothers, Tommy Weakley of Houston, Marvin Weakley of Dallas; sisters, Betty Bowles of Hardesty, OK., Sue Wood of Oklahoma City, OK.; eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
