AG Young Farmers hosting show

The Alba-Golden Young Farmers host a livestock show Saturday, Oct. 1 at the Hugh Ragsdale Agriscience Center at Alba-Golden School.

Gates open at 5 a.m. with registration from 7-9 and the show starts at 10.

There is a $25 entry fee with buckles for breed champions, prizes for reserve champions, banners for supreme champions and ribbons for class winners.

Show order is cattle showmanship, steers, commercial heifers and breeding heifers in ring one.

In ring two lamb showmanship and show followed by goat showmanship and show.

Showmanship order is peewee 7 and under (free), juniors 8-13 and seniors 14-18, $5 entry fee each.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
