Alba council OKs public works hires
Alba City Council agreed to hire two persons to fill positions in the water and wastewater department.
One would fill the department’s vacancy and the other would be hired in anticipation of retiring Public Works Director Paul Kelbe.
The council stipulated that the new employees would reimburse the city for training and testing unless they remain on the job for one year after receiving their licenses.
The positions would be paid $18 per hour for a 90-day probationary period.
