Mineola police reports for the past week included:

Nov. 9 – A broken window on the back of a vehicle parked at the elementary school was reported. Nothing was missing from the vehicle that was parked close to the road and it is believe an 18-wheeler possibly could have caused the damage.

Police arrested Brandyn Lee Betts, 35, Hawkins, and Trudy Inez Betts, 29, Hawkins after stopping them for a defective license plate light at Patten and Line Streets. Brandyn Betts had an outstanding warrant out of the Wood County Sheriff’s Department for speeding. Trudy Betts was arrested for driving while license suspended and for having no liability insurance.

Nov. 7 – Sonic personnel reported damage to property when a vehicle pulling a camper trailer turned too sharp and damaged some lights. The vehicle was stopped by an officer and the driver gave their information to have the damage fixed.

A wallet was found in front of the middle school and turned over to police. The owner was located and the wallet was returned.

Nov. 6 – A reckless 18-wheeler driver was reported on Highway 80 at the city limits at 12:41 p.m. An officer stopped the truck and found the driver had dropped a lit cigarette and was trying to get it from the floorboard.

Police arrested Danny James Wrysinski, 51, Mineola, for no liability insurance when he was stopped for failure to use a turn signal at Meadowbrook and Newsom Streets.

There was a report of a disturbance on Laura Street but it turned out only to be an argument.

Nov. 5 – A disturbance was reported at Pizza Pasta Amore when a disgruntled employee became angry. The employee left the premises.

Nov. 4 – A disturbance was reported on South Pacific Street when an ex-girlfriend tried to get into the residence. She was gone when officers arrived.

Police arrested Gary Wayne Gillich, 76, Mineola, for driving while intoxicated at Commerce and South Pacific Streets at 1:09 a.m.

A male reported a female went into his residence while he was sleeping and stole his cigarettes.

A man on Sycamore Street reported that a woman had gone in his yard and refused to leave. They argued and she left.

Josette Nicole Barloco, 31, Mineola, as arrested for possession of a controlled substance after a vehicle stop for failing to use a turn signal for 100 feet on West Broad Street.

Nov. 3 – An officer responded to a report of a runaway juvenile on University Street. The runaway was located later and transported to juvenile probation.

There was a report at 11:30 a.m. that a boy ran away from the elementary school. He was located by a driver just down the road from the school.

A woman reported she was receiving harassing texts and phone calls. However, police determined them not to be harassing.

Personnel from Lindale Police Department reported a resident had reported a check was stolen from their mailbox and cashed at Bank Texas. The matter is under investigation.

Brookshire’s reported a theft of some food but the suspect was gone from the store.

A person was issued a criminal trespass warning from Dollar General store for threatening an employee and taking pictures of them.
