Candidates file reports, early voting underway

The second round of political expenditures and campaign contributions has been filed by candidates in the March 5 primary for the period through Feb. 5.

In the Precinct One commissioners race, Justin Bowring reports total contributions of $1,250 and expenses of $3,554.

Randy Dunn reports donating $1,550 to his campaign including the $750 filing fee. He received a $100 contribution and made other expenses of $471.

Incumbent Virgil Holland made a $1,000 loan to his campaign and has spent $592.

For Precinct Three commissioner, David Eishen reported contributions of $3,036 and expenses of $3,997.

Incumbent Mike Simmons has contributions of $300 and expenses of $2,229.

In the Precinct One constable’s race, Robert Holland has had $6,155 in contributions and $5,381 in expenses.

LaDawn Foley McGee reported $1,050 in contributions and $2,157 in expenses.

In the Precinct Two constable race, Joshua Davis reports $2,877 in expenses and $2,545 in contributions.

Stephen Nichols reports $1,488 in expenses.

Bobby Tucker reports $700 in expenses.

The final report is due Feb. 26 for transactions through Feb. 24.

Early voting began this week and continues through March 1.

All early voting in Wood County is conducted at the elections office in Quitman.

Days and hours are Feb. 20-23 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 24 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Feb. 26-March 1 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Mail-in ballot applications are accepted through Feb. 23.
