Car show during festival benefits Caring & Sharing

Among the many highlights of the annual Iron Horse Heritage Festival in Mineola Saturday will be the second annual Caring & Sharing Car Show, put on by Kirk Henson with ETCSO.

The show is expected to draw upwards of 200 vehicles, which will be featured along N. Johnson St. north of Broad St.

Entrants should enter via Kilpatrick St. off Hwy. 69.

The entry fee is $20 plus a new children’s toy for ages 0-12 years that will also benefit Mineola Caring & Sharing.

Registration is from 8-10 a.m. with judging at 11 a.m. and awards at 3 p.m.

More than 100 awards will be presented from classics to the present, cars, trucks, Jeeps, racers, military, imports and more.

The Iron Horse Heritage Festival goes from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. along S. Johnson St. and Commerce St. with vendors, food, entertainment and much more (see related story).

Caring & Sharing assists families in the Mineola school district with food and gifts at Christmas time.
