Caring & Sharing at 40
Mineola Caring & Sharing celebrated 40 years of service at the first volunteer meeting of the year last Monday.
Sam Curry is the only original director still active with the organization. Sam started the KMOO radio auction which still benefits Mineola C&S. He served as treasurer for many years and uses his radio voice on distribution day to announce the family numbers and size as they arrive to receive their food, toys and gifts.
The next volunteer meeting is Oct. 9 at 6:30 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church.
