Wood County’s Memorial Day service will take place at the northeast corner of the Wood County Courthouse grounds at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, May 27.
All military veterans, family, friends and the general public are invited to attend.
The program, under the direction of the Wood County Veteran’s Committee, will consist of a speaker, a flag ceremony and the playing of “Taps.”
Giving this year’s Memorial Day address will be retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Tom Gunn.
Playing “Taps” will be Jacob Day of Quitman High School.
The program is expected to conclude at noon.
