Funeral services for Charles Edmond Low, 80, of Quitman were Thursday, April 4, at Lowe Funeral Home with Brother Fred Morrow officiating. Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola.
Mr. Low was born March 17, 1939, in Wood County to Calvin and Norma (Ussery) Low.
He served his country proudly in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was a marksman with 144th Infantry and a tank mechanic. He lived most of his life in Wood County and attended Wood County Cowboy Church.
He worked at Wood County Electric Company, later built houses, then worked at a print shop, and later worked as the maintenance supervisor for Quitman Independent School District for 15 years. After retiring from QISD, he went on to work for the Wood County Special Education School doing maintenance.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Norma Low.
Survivors include his loving wife of 19 years, Dinah Low of Quitman; son, Charles R. Low; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and extended family.
