Couple marks 70th anniversary
Carlie Ray and Nell Rogers of Quitman celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary Nov. 18. They were married at a preacher’s home in Grand Prairie in 1950. Carlie Ray served in the United Statesa Army during the Korean War. They moved to Quitman in 1987. Carlie Ray worked for General Motors for 28 years and also worked for Lone Star Gas.
