Crysta Lavern Douthitt Harness  1940-2020

Services for Crysta Lavern Douthitt Harness, 80, of Mineola were held at 3 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2020 at Sand Springs Baptist Church, Mineola with Bro. Jim Parker officiating under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.

Interment followed in Pilgrim Rest #2 Cemetery in Golden.

Mrs. Harness passed away June 22, 2020 in Tyler. She was born June 18, 1940 in Shirley, Ark. to Walter Robert and Artie Irene Guffey Douthitt. On June 1, 1957, Crysta married Farris Harness in Clinton, Ark. They lived in Burleson before spending seven years in Clinton and moving to Mineola, where they have lived for the last 18 years. Crysta was a member of Sand Springs Baptist Church and a member their Sew–N–Sew Ladies Group. She loved cooking and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Walter Douthitt.

Mrs. Harness is survived by her husband of 63 years, Farris Harness of Mineola; one son, Garry Harness and wife Marie of Burleson; one daughter, Kathy Camp and husband Danny of Burleson; one brother, Pete Douthitt and wife Bonnie of Morrilton, Ark.; one sister, Wanda Owens and husband Howell of Clinton, Ark.; two grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
