Celestial viewing Saturday
The Astronomical Society of East Texas will present an astronomical viewing at the Mineola Nature Preserve on Saturday evening.
This is open to the public and is especially for all public, private and home school students and their parents.
The program will begin about 5 p.m. with solar viewing until sunset. Celestial viewing will follow at 7:30 p.m. The event will conclude by 11 p.m.
This is a weather permitting event. In the event of rain or clouds, the event will be cancelled. Organizers advise those attending to dress properly for the weather conditions. Be prepared for mosquitoes with long pants and long sleeves but no spray insect repellent.
