Defendants accept plea bargains in district court
The following guilty pleas have been heard in 402nd District Court:
April 28
William Ray Meekings, Tyler, driving while intoxicated with previous intoxication manslaughter conviction, four years in state prison concurrent with prior sentence plus $1,000 fine.
David Joshua Martinez, Quitman, assault causes bodily injury of family/household member impeding breathing/circulation, eight years in state prison probated for five years community supervision with 160 hours community service plus $2,500 fine and complete the substance abuse felony punishment program.
Robert Ray Snow, Garvin Okla., theft of property over $30,000 and under $150,000, deferred adjudication, five years community supervision with 160 hours community service. A hearing to determine restitution will be held June 16.
Walter Ortiz-Estrada, Como, possession of a controlled substance penalty group (PG) two, one gram or more and less than four grams, deferred adjudication, four years community supervision with 160 hours community service; possession of marijuana more than four ounces and less than five pounds, dismissed.
Wilma Ann Royston, Alba, hindering apprehension/prosecution, deferred adjudication, one year community supervision with 160 hours community service.
Ricky Altom Wright, Winnsboro, burglary of a building, four years in state prison probated for four years with 240 hours of community service plus $1,000 fine.
Benjamin Earl Marks, Winnsboro, assault causes bodily injury, deferred adjudication, one year community supervision with 80 hours community service.
Russell James Whited, Roswell, N.M., possession of a controlled substance PG one less than one gram, two years in state jail probated for four years with 120 hours community service plus $800 fine; second count dismissed.
Billy Thomas Burke Jr., Tyler, theft of property $2,500 or more but less than $30,000, 15 months in state jail with 470 days credit for time served, concurrent with prior sentence plus $1,000 fine.
Victoria Lane Koch, Emory, assault causes bodily injury, deferred adjudication, two years community supervision with 240 hours community service.
John Ryan Patrick, Winnsboro, possession of a controlled substance PG one less than one gram, two years in state prison with 378 days credit for time served, concurrent with proper sentence.
Caleb Randall Sinclair, Hawkins, burglary of a habitation, 10 years in state prison probated for 10 years with 240 hours community service and $4,000 fine.
Bryan Lee Lunsford, Alba, theft of property less than $2,500 with two or more prior convictions, two years in state prison probated for four years with 120 hours community service and $2,000 fine.
Paul Wayne Coffman, Mineola, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon-family violence, eight years in state prison probated for eight years with 240 hours community service, $4,000 fine and complete the batterer’s intervention and prevention program.
Jason Curtis Craft, Big Sandy, possession of a controlled substance PG one less than one gram, 90 days in county jail with 117 days credit for time served, concurrent with prior sentence; tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair, dismissed.
