Two Quitman players and one Alba-Golden Lady Panther were named with superlative honors on this year’s 12-3A All District volleyball squad.

Seniors Madalyn Spears of Quitman and Alba-Golden’s Ginny Carson were tabbed as “Co-Hitter of the Year.” Quitman’s Shelby Hayes was named as the “Setter of the Year.”

Named to the First Team were Ann Marie Pendergrass, Alba-Golden; Jentri Jackson and Ava Burroughs, Quitman; and Meghan Brewington and Cyndi Butler of Mineola. On the second team were Macie Pendergrass and Madi Bryant of Alba-Golden and Sabria Dean, Mineola.

Making the All District Academic team were: Qutman - Abby Dobbs, Madayln Spears, Julia Simpkins, Jentri Jackson, Maddy Whitehurst, Shelby Hayes, Lindsey Hornaday, Lucy Brannon and Ava Burroughs; Alba Golden – Destiny Baker, Madisyn Bryant, Ginny Carson, Laurne Crump, Laynie Culp, Abigail Hallman, Bralee Littlejohn, Ann Marie Pendergrass, Macie Pendergrass, and Hope Wiley; and Mineola – Abby Hagan, Tahjae Black, Kelsey Brewington, Alyssa Lankford, Valerie Garcia, Sabria Dean, Cyndi Butler and Tiara Stephens.
