Four persons were hospitalized following a 2-vehicle crash Thursday at 1:41 p.m. north of Mineola. Saundra Gray, 74, of Emory was southbound on Hwy. 37 near CR 2326 when she attempted a u-turn. Morena Hicks of Lindale was northbound in a 2005 Saturn Vue and struck the passenger side of Gray’s 2021 Kia Sportage. Both vehicles went into the east bar ditch. Passenger Harold Lewelling, 81, was flown to UT Health Tyler. The two drivers and passenger Declan Hicks were taken there by ambulance. Mineola firemen cut open the Kia to free the occupants.
