Fred Smith 1940-2023

Fred Dean Smith, 83, of Mineola went to be with the Lord on Nov. 1, 2023. He was born on Feb. 11, 1940, to the late Montell and Etta Mae Smith.

Fred was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by Lou Smith, and his children, Denise Womack, Eugene McSchooler, Terry Smith and Monte Smith.

Fred was preceded in death by his son, Jerald McSchooler, and great-grandson, Caleb Smith, as well as his best friend, Charlie McCollum.

Fred was always faithful and loved the Lord. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Mineola.
