Golf tournament to benefit Wood County children

A golf tournament to benefit the Wood County Child Protection Board will be held Tuesday, May 10 at the Links at Land’s End near Yantis on Lake Fork.

Proceeds help Wood County children who are receiving child protective services.

Teams will tee off at 1 p.m. and have the chance to win one of several prizes. One player will have the opportunity to try for a $1,000,000 hole-in-one shot. Other hole-in-one prizes include a 5-night/6-day trip to play St. Andrews and Gleneagles golf course in Scotland (with rental car and air fare credit), Yeti cooler, Scotty Cameron putter, Apple iPad and new set of irons.

The tournament is sponsored by the Wood County district attorney’s office.

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert
